| Cooking, like the other gathering trade skills in WOW, requires a character with a skill of 225 or more to accomplish Artisan cooking quest to raise it. The quest is the same for both Horde and Alliance Characters and starts in the neutral goblin city of Gadgetzan in Tanaris.
WOW characters that fond of the expert cooking skill level should buy the book needed to raise their skill past 150 from the location appropriate to their faction. For Horde characters, it can be found at the troll town in Desolace, for Alliance characters it lies in Ashenvale. After they gain the demanded book and advance the trade skill to a 225 skill level, the character can get the artisan cooking quest.
You should head to Gadgetzan in WOW to speak to Dirge Quickcleave for picking up the quest, collecting 12 Giant Eggs, 10 Zesty Clam meat and 20 Alterac Swiss. The Alterac Swiss is the easiest to get as it’s buyable from a vendor named Ben Trias in the trade district of Stormwind City or the Thunderbluff inkeeper. Other materials can be obtained by killing Owlbeasts in the Hinterlands and Turtles in Tanaris. Once you complete Artisan cooking quest, you can get ready for the ride from 225-375.
